FASC is now accepting applications for the 2024 Forestry Foundation scholarships. Deadline is March 31, 2024.
The Forestry Foundation Scholarship is designed to recognize and encourage forestry students with high academic achievement and leadership potential. To qualify, candidates must be a citizen of South Carolina, maintain a 3.0 GPA or better, and be a student at Horry Georgetown Technical College (HGTC), or a junior/senior at Clemson University, majoring in Forest Management. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance and financial need.
Up to three scholarships will be awarded to deserving forestry students attending Clemson University or Horry-Georgetown Tech.
The SC Forestry Foundation, established in 1980, serves as the education, conservation, and research arm of the Forestry Association. The Foundation began awarding scholarships in 1987.

Consideration for the Hudson Family Scholarship is available to any South Carolina resident entering a two or four-year accredited College or University. Recipient must have and maintain a GPA sufficient for entrance and graduation as a full-time student. Recipient must have ties to the Forest Products Industry (includes non-regulatory state forestry agencies) through family association or scholastic pursuits. Financial need will be considered as a factor for award. The required form must be completed and submitted to the address indicated by March 31 of the year in which a fall award is requested.

FASC is now accepting applications for the 2023 GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL FOR AGRICULTURE at John de la Howe. Deadline is March 31, 2024.
To qualify, candidates must be a citizen of South Carolina, maintain a 2.0 GPA or better, and graduating in the Spring of 2024. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, financial need, and commitment to future employment in the wood supply chain. One scholarship in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded to a deserving student. The Forestry Foundation must receive applications by March 31 of the year in which a fall award is requested.
